NavBite Beta

The Aviator's Almanac for fly-in dining enters beta. Thirty-two California airports, scored and ranked.

We've been eating our way across California one runway at a time, and now we're ready to share what we've found. NavBite is a curated guide to fly-in dining — think of it as a Michelin Guide for pilots who believe a good lunch is reason enough to file a flight plan.

Our beta dataset covers thirty-two airports across Northern California, from the coastal fog of Half Moon Bay to the valley heat of Sacramento. Every airport has been scored on a twenty-five-point rubric that weighs the food, the scene, the operational ease, ground access, and fuel availability. We've walked the ramps, eaten the burgers, and argued over whether a fifteen-minute taxi ride disqualifies an otherwise excellent taco stand.
